How do I get rid of these pesty fruit flies?

| The only way I've been successful in doing this is by strict cleanliness. Don't allow discarded food to lay in the bottom of the cage. Changing the paper in the bottom of the cage daily, removing any bits of fruit that have fallen or are sticking to the cage, and ensuring areas around the cage are clear of 'thrown' food, is key to evicting those stupid flies. Washing the bowls every day and never putting more food in the bowl than the bird will eat for the day keeps things fresh and tidy. If I stick to a strict regimen of this practice, I don't see any flies.

| It's definatly a challenge! Fruit flies are a pain to get rid of once you have them so I wish you luck, I agree with the person above, strict cleanliness is the only way!
